Students and parents should report directly to the
North Rockland High School auditorium seats promptly, at their rehearsal time.
- If you wish to have professional photographs of your child taken at dress rehearsals, parents should present their order envelopes with payment in full (cash or check only), to the photo desk at dress rehearsal. Forms have been given out in class, and will be available at the rehearsals.
- Parents may video and take photographs only while students are on the stage at dress rehearsal.
- Specific directions about hairstyles and what to bring to dress rehearsals and performances have been given to each student by their teacher in class. Please arrive with hair styled. Makeup should be kept to a minimum. No red lips, please.
Directions Directions to North Rockland High School, 106 Hammond Road, Theills, New York It takes about 20 minutes to get from Coupé in Nanuet to North Rockland High School. From the Palisades Parkway North: Take Exit 14. At the end of the exit turn right onto Willow Grove Road (County Road 98) Continue to Hammond Road (about ¼ mile past Birch) Make a right onto Hammond Road. The High School is on the left. At the Performances Children are to be dropped off at the security desk at the entrance to backstage, in the main lobby to the right of the auditorium. PLEASE sign your child in when you drop them off. ACT I Performers are to arrive one hour before curtain. Performers for ACT II are to arrive a few minutes before curtain time so parents can enter the auditorium promptly if they are watching the show. What To Bring Specific directions about hairstyles and what to bring to Dress Rehearsals and Performances are given to each student by their teacher in class. Please make every effort to arrive with your child's hair styled, with only those items needed in a small dance bag. If directed by the teacher, please have them wearing tights and their nude-colored leotard. NO soda, juice or food of any kind is permitted backstage. Students who are at the school for an extended period of time will have a designated area to eat, if required. Water bottles are permitted backstage, and encouraged. Dismissal Kinderdance and Ballet 1 students who are in the first act will be dismissed at intermission, and must be picked up by an adult at the security desk. Kinderdance students will be released first. Ballet 1 parents are asked to step back until all kinderdancers have been picked up. All other cast members will be dismissed from the stage at the end of the performance.
