Hello!
I am still walking on air!
I've really had some amazing work experiences lately, starting with giving an Introduction to the Law of Attraction workshop, and then presenting a keynote to a large group of wonderful women!
I have spent the last couple of years increasing my knowledge around social media as a way to grow my business, and while this has been a fabulous experience, I experienced a bit of contrast. That contrast was me missing the ability to see the gleam in someone's eyes when they have an "a-ha" moment. To feel the palpable energy in a room when a group of like-minded people come together to talk about such an uplifting subject, and to give and receive so many physical hugs.
I missed that, so when I asked myself, "So, what do I want?" - more public speaking opportunities became my new intention.
Ask, and it is given
I became aware of a meeting facility in Ottawa called @TheSpace when a woman who has heard me speak publicly suggested I check it out. What I found was a cool meeting space, a group of people that are fabulous to work with, and true believers and practitioners of the Law of Attraction. Talk about the perfect combination!
In August of this year I was at the cottage doing very little work, and fretting about it. My Law of Attraction training tells me that I attract whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, so I knew that worrying about taking time off was not going to serve me well, and immediately shifted my energy to how I wanted my business to unfold when I returned from vacation. It was at that moment that I received a call from Rachel LeDuc, organizer for the You Deserve It Conference http://www.facebook.com/RachelLeducDeMarthenay, asking me to be her keynote speaker. Rachel had never heard me speak publicly before, but had a "knowing" that I was the person she wanted to kick off her conference. I am eternally grateful to her for this fabulous opportunity.
Finding @The Space and giving the keynote address both came easily to me when I removed the doubt, and focused on what I wanted rather than what I didn't want. Know that you can do the same!
