The practice guide begins by describing the essential work of business analysis. The title identifies the tasks performed in business analysis in addition to the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively perform business analysis on programs and projects. Inside this guide, tasks are separated into five domains: needs assessment, planning, analysis, traceability and monitoring, and evaluation; within each domain, there are a series of supporting tasks that are defined and explored.
