Last year we had several hundred books, magazines, videos and cd's left over after the media sale -- a trailer and several carloads full.  We took them to a local bookstore who gave us pennies for the books and other items which were not sold.  Some of us thought that if that is all we could get, we had rather give these items to a charitable organization like Goodwill or the Salvation Army.  (Bookstores have a right to make a fair profit but what they offered was a pittance.)

Are there a number of us willing to write a $20 tax-deductible check (beyond our regular operating pledge) for "youth book sale" so we can give these items to a charitable organization for the benefit of their program? Please contact Lacey if you think you can help.
