A HERO!!

Bongo was rescued by Pet Pals in March, 2011. He was scheduled to be killed at a pound and was only 1 1/2 years old.
How many "HEROES" are murdered every day and many people don't care? PLEASE spay/neuter your pets. Why buy when homeless die?

 from Bongo's family:

Sorry we have not been in touch with you. Hope your holidays were Joyful. Ours was nice. Our house burned down on August 17th and we were homeless. The Red Cross helped us for a week with a motel, so that we could keep Our Hero, Bongo.

Then we had a friend help us get another motel with a kitchenette. We had to put Bongo at my Mom's house and we visited him every day and made sure he was ok. We lived in the motel for two months and finally found a home again. It's just perfect for us and Bongo.

See when our house was on fire, my son and I were sleeping. The neighbors were pounding on our windows and front door. I heard Bongo coming unglued. He went upstairs and my son came out of his room. The neighbors were trying to come in and my Bongo would not let them. Then I heard them screaming that our house was on fire. I just came through the kitchen and went back to see and sure enough. We ran outside and my son went back in for Bongo. We lost almost everything!!

So to us Bongo is Our Hero and saved us. He is the one that woke us up or we wouldn't be here!!!! Of course, the neighbors were Heros too! It was a Nightmare! So, now we are getting back to normal. Bongo is Truly a blessing to us and we love him soooo Much!!

Attaching photos from the Carolina dog calendar. Your boy got the big spot in August with my other 3 dingos. Even Rose was profiled and mentioned. You can now say you rescued a famous dingo. Who else would make sure they become famous? LOL

(Dingo is in the center. THANKS Mari!)

Here is a wonderful video of Dingo and his family. Another family member was also adopted from Pet Pals. Her name is Kalei:

Mari has 38 videos posted! We could never have found a better home for our furkids!

The U.S. Congress just released the brand new funding bill for FY2014 - a massive bill involving more than a trillion tax dollars - and we are thrilled to announce that horse slaughter will not be coming back to United States soil.

The ASPCA worked day and night to ensure that tax dollars would not be spent on inspections that enable the slaughter of horses for human consumption. We worked closely with other animal welfare organizations, consumer safety groups, as well as thousands of citizens representing the 80% of Americans that oppose horse slaughter, and Congress has listened. The message from Capitol Hill is loud and clear on this issue: Our horses deserve better and this dangerous industry must not be tolerated. Horse slaughter has no business here.

Advocates fought hard when the Agriculture Appropriations bill was being considered at committee level, winning votes in both the House and Senate that amended the bills to prohibit funding for horse slaughter inspections.  And tonight, we finally know that this horse slaughter funding limitation is intact! Congress is not expected to make any changes to the bill text at this stage of the game, so the writing is on the wall for any efforts to open horse slaughter plants in the U.S.  Both chambers are expected to pass the bill, and the president is expected to sign it into law, later this week.

Jelly is HOME!
(Jelly is the black girl)

Poor sweet little Jelly. She had a heartless family who dumped her at a kill facility.

Pet Pals found out through a rabies tag that she had only been taken to a veterinarian once in her six years of life when she was having seizures due to marijuana ingestion. No vaccinations, not spayed. We have no doubts she was NOT loved!

Just adopted January 3, 2014, (we're starting the New Year out right! And another adoption is in the works...... HURRAH!)

Now Jelly must think she's gone to Heaven! Thank you Stacy and family!
