CORRECTION

I messed up!  Thanks to an eagle-eyed friend & loyal reader, it was caught soon after the May, 2015 edition of this eNewsletter was sent out early on 5/27/2015.

In the included article, "Does Medicare Pay for Long Term Care?", I incorrectly said "Medicare does pay for some nursing home stays provided: 1. You have spent at least three consecutive days (overnights) in a Medicare-approved skilled nursing facility while in an "admitted" status."

I meant to say "...in a hospital...".  It is the three consecutive hospital overnights that are a critical Medicare nursing home benefit eligibility requirement.

Lessons learned: 1.This is what can happen when I am in too much of a rush to meet deadline. 2. I am my own worst proof reader.  Thank you Bernie.

A plan to pay for Long Term Care services is not a financial plan.  But a financial plan that does not address long term care can not be a complete financial plan.
Sincerely,
