TWC WiFi Hotspot Launch to the Channel


Time Warner Cable Business Class is pleased to announce the nationwide launch of TWC WiFi Hotspot. This popular service allows Business Class customers to offer customized WiFi service to their patrons via a wireless access point and separate Internet connection.


WiFi Hotspot Incentive for Sales Partners

For each installed WiFi Hotspot service in a business customer location, partners will receive a bonus
$50 per Hotspot activation.
   This bonus program will run indefinitely but is a limited time promotion which will cease upon TWC notification.  Other terms & conditions are as follows:


         Eligible products include: Business Internet bundled with TWC WiFi Hotspot

         Awards will be based on new sales opportunities only. No contract renewals or upgrades.

         All sales must be logged in TWCBC order management system to qualify.

         Orders that cancel or disconnect prior to the customer contract expiration may result in an award readjustment.

         TWCBC reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend or terminate the program at its discretion. In the event that TWCBC must cancel the program, TWCBC shall provide notification and post notice on the Partner Portal.


Product Availability

TWC WiFi Hotspot will now be available to all Business Internet (a.k.a. Cable Internet / HSD) customers in all TWC markets with the exception of Hawaii.

Marketing materials allow businesses to clearly advertise that they are part of TWC's 250,000 location WiFi network. Materials provided include:


         Acrylic wallet card holders with sign for countertop display

         Wallet cards with sign-in instructions

         Adhesive window stickers identifying the business as a TWC WiFi Hotspot


The TWC WiFi Coverage map and the TWC Finder app offer even more visibility for customers. The customer's business appears on the map with the following details:


         Business Name

         Street Address

         Telephone Number

         Company Website URL




TWC WiFi Hotspots are available to Business Internet customers who meet the following target criteria:

         Businesses with public areas, such as restaurants, bars, cafes, gyms, amusements, and stores.

         Businesses with waiting areas, such as medical offices, dental offices, financial services, automotive services, barbers, and salons.


Businesses not considered targets include:


         Home businesses, warehouses, and other non-consumer focused businesses.

         Hospitality, government, and larger venues requiring customization are better suited for our Venue WiFi product or other Business Class custom WiFi solutions may not qualify for TWC WiFi Hotspots.

         Businesses unlikely to attract TWC Residential customers.


TWC WiFi Hotspot is not intended to be utilized for business purposes, but rather as an amenity for public oriented businesses to offer to the public to increase patronage.  Businesses needing wireless service for business purposes should be offered our TWC WiFi LAN product or secure wireless service with our Managed Security Service offerings.



There is no monthly charge and no installation charge for TWC WiFi Hotspot but must be ordered with our Business Internet service.
