Dear Travel Partners,
We are writing to inform you of the collapse of the Ghenh Bridge in Dong Nai, Vietnam. The collapse of the bridge has temporarily immobilized all trains running to and from southern provinces from Dong Nai downwards.
According to Dao Anh Tuan, General Director of Saigon Railways, the company has halted all departures from Saigon Railway Station.
All trains have to stop at Bien Hoa railways station, it affects all transfers by train from Northern and Central parts of the country to Saigon and vice versa. Saigon Railways will arrange buses to transit passengers from Bien Hoa to Saigon station and from Saigon to Bien Hoa until the bridge is fixed. The estimated time for repairs is around 3-5 months. The travel time from Bien Hoa to Saigon railway station is 45-60 minutes. Focus Asia is recommending that you let us pick up your clients upon arrival at Bien Hoa station and transfer them directly to their final destination in the South or if your clients want to travel north we will bring them directly to Bien Hoa station. Please note, the trains from North to Central Vietnam and further to Nha Trang are not affected.
If you have any concerns about how the collapse of the bridge could affect your clients' tours in the coming months, please do not hesitate to contact your Sales Manager in charge for clarification.
Sincerely,
Your Focus Asia Team
