2016 Program Overview Brochure
This brochure lists activities Special Needs Recreation is offering in 2016. You can view a copy online or obtain one at any of our events. We will mail out copies to registered participants by the end of January. Click here to view the brochure.

2016 Membership Forms
Membership Forms must be on file for participants to take part in our activities. Forms are renewed annually and do not need a doctor's signature. However, a parent or guardian must complete the form. Click here to view the 2016 Membership Form.

Bowling
Practices are January 4, 11 & 25
Practice is held every Monday, excluding City holidays, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Altamonte AMF Lanes. Scores are recorded throughout the year. Cost is $2 per game and includes shoes.

Belly Dance
Registration opens at 9 a.m. on January 4
Our Special Needs Belly Dancers and family members meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastmonte Park to exercise and prepare for performances. Cost is $15 per season. Family members dance free. Please register online or call (407) 571-8740. Space is limited. Financial assistance is available.

Nightbird Dance
January 8 | New Year's Bash
Themed dances are held one Friday a month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Eastmonte Park. Prizes are awarded for dance and costume contest winners and birthdays. Drinks and light snacks are provided. Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per guest (parent, caregiver, etc).

Cheerleading 
Our Sparklers cheerleaders did a great job performing at the Universal Orlando Macy's Holiday Parade and the University of Central Florida Women's Basketball game half time show! Note: We will not have cheerleading practice in January. Practices will resume on February 28.

Special Needs Clubhouse Program
STOP Trips (Saturday Time Out for Parents)
January 16   |  9 a.m. - 4 p.m.  |  New Location. Central Florida Zoo.
Trips are held one Saturday a month. The day will include an entertaining or educational field trip and lunch. Drop off and pick up is at Eastmonte Park. Cost is $3 per participant. Feel free to send souvenir money for trips. Please contact Ranwa Nin Iamaio to reserve your spot. Reservations are taken in the order in which they are received. You will receive a confirmation email within two business days. Space is limited. Financial assistance is available. A program T-shirt is required. 

NEW: When registering, please clearly state whether you are a general participant or an assisted participant. General participants are supervised by program volunteers on a 1:5 ratio. Assisted participants provide their own 1:1 caretaker. The caretaker must be able to transport the participant and themselves. Exceptions are made for participants in wheelchairs.

Winter Clubhouse - Volunteers Still Needed!
We are still in need of many volunteer counselors for our Winter Clubhouse program to help supervise participants during fun-filled activities from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.  The program is held on Wednesdays in January and February from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Eastmonte Park. Sign up to volunteer by contacting Ranwa Nin Iamaio.  Help out with all days or just a few.
