Practices are June 1, 15, 22 & 29Practice is held every Monday, excluding City holidays, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Altamonte AMF Lanes. Scores are recorded throughout the year. Cost is $2 per game and includes shoes. Note: The Bowling Banquet is on Monday, June 8 at Eastmonte Park. Summer ClubhouseProgram begins June 3
Clubhouse days will begin at Eastmonte Park and are filled with crafts, field trips, games, guests and more. The summer session is full with a waiting list available. To see the clubhouse schedule, click here. Nightbird DanceHawaiian Pool Party | June 5Splish Splash! Let's kick off the summer with a Hawaiian Pool Party! There is swimming, music, dancing on the pool deck and light refreshments from 7 to 9 p.m. at Westmonte Park. This event will move indoors in case of rain. Prizes are awarded for dance contest winners and birthdays. Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per guest (parent, caregiver, etc).Swim Lessons
Sessions are designed to meet the needs of each individual by offering eight 15-minute classes with 1:1 instruction (1 swimmer to 1 instructor). Sessions are for ages 3 - 5 and 6 to adult. Sessions are Monday through Thursday for two weeks from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Cost is $40 per session for residents and $55 per session for non-residents. Financial assistance is available. Belly Dance Next Practice June 24 Special Needs Belly Dancers and family members meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastmonte Park to exercise and prepare for performances. Cost is $15 per season. Family members dance free.
Finance Chair Needed for the Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc.
The Altamonte Springs Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization that functions in conjunction with Altamonte Springs Recreation to provide social and recreational activities at a minimal cost to individuals with mental or physical disabilities.
