Activities
Ballroom Dance
First practice February 1 | Volunteers start February 8
The Orlando Chapter of USA Dance teaches an eight-week workshop on Sundays. Practice is at Lake Brantley South Gym, located across from Lake Brantley High School by Forest City Elementary.

Bowling
Practices are February 2, 9, 16 & 23
Practice is held every Monday, excluding City holidays, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Altamonte AMF Lanes. Scores are recorded throughout the year. Cost is $2 per game and includes shoes. 

STOP Trips
Trips take place one Saturday a month and are socially, physically and educationally beneficial field trips. Drop off and pick up is at Eastmonte Park. Cost is $3 per participant. Lunch is provided. Financial assistance is available. Feel free to send souvenir money for trips. Reservations are taken in the order received. Please call or email to reserve your spot. Space is limited. Upcoming Trips:

Nightbird Dance
February 13 | Sweethearts Dance
Themed dances are held one Friday a month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Eastmonte Park. Prizes are awarded for dance and costume contest winners and birthdays. Drinks and light snacks are provided. Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per guest (parent, caregiver, etc).

Belly Dance
Next Practice February 18
Special Needs Belly Dancers and family members typically meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastmonte Park to exercise and prepare for performances. Cost is $15 per season. Family members dance free.

Thursday Night Out
Karaoke Night | February 19
Cooking Class |February 26
Thursday Night Out is held on the third and fourth Thursday of each month at Westmonte Park from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Cost is $1 per person. Light refreshments are provided. RSVP for cooking classes one week prior.

 

Sparklers Sponsors Needed
The Altamonte Sparklers are an inspirational group of male and female cheerleaders with special needs. Athletes range in ages, and prepare for performances, parades, other community events and local competitions. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Sign up before February 2. Click

Winter Clubhouse
The Winter Clubhouse is off to a great start. Participants have visited the Orlando Police Stables, learned about sea animals with Mad Science and painted pottery. Photos of the fun are on Facebook.

2015 ASPD Golf Tournament
February 27 
On behalf of the Altamonte Springs Police Department, it is our pleasure to invite you to our 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Wekiva Golf Club (4100 Wekiva Club Court, Longwood, FL 32779). Proceeds will go to the Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. followed by a buffet lunch. Registration is $75 per player, $300  per team. We also offer Hole Sponsorship at $125. Your company name and logo is displayed at the sponsored hole and on the sponsor board. We are also accepting donation items for door prizes.
