The City of Altamonte Springs Special Needs Recreation and the Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. provide social and recreational activities at a minimal cost to the mentally and physically challenged population, ages 13 and up, in Altamonte Springs and surrounding communities.

Swim Lessons
Sessions 4 & 5

Swim lesson sessions are designed to meet the needs of each individual by offering classes with 1-on-1 instruction. Sessions are for ages 3 and up. Registration for Session 4 opens July 7 at 9 a.m. and Session 5 opens July 28 at 9 a.m. Financial assistance is available. For a full list of registration and session dates, visit

Special Olympics season runs from June to November, and we would like our Altamonte bowlers to be well represented at Special Olympics competitions. If you would like your Monday training scores to be submitted for advancement, sign up to compete with Special Olympics online.
