Spring Sprint 5K

On Saturday, April 12, the City of Altamonte Springs and Fleet Feet Sports will host the Spring Sprint 5K Run & Walk at Cranes Roost Park. Proceeds from this fundraising event benefit two local non-profit organizations: Altamonte Springs Advisory Board for the Disabled, which enhances programs for individuals with disabilities and Altamonte Christian School, in support of the school's community outreach program for children. The Clubhouse - Summer Session
Volunteer Registration

Volunteers are needed to serve as counselors at "The Clubhouse" on Wednesdays this June & July from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Eastmonte Park Recreation Center. Registration is now open and will close April 21. For more information or to register, click here.  

"Voices of Joy" Trip
Registration Opens April 21, 9 a.m.
"Voices of Joy" is a high-energy music and dance experience for all ages. Enjoy a variety of musical styles and genres. This show is open to our special needs participants and volunteers at no cost. Transportation is provided. The show will be Thursday, May 8 at Willow Creek Church in Winter Springs. To reserve your spot, call or email Nin.

Darden's Community Grant Recipient
We are honored that Olive Garden in Altamonte has recognized the Altamonte Springs Special Needs Program as a leader in our community and awarded our program a $1,000 grant to help support our work. The grant will be used for food related expenses for our STOP Trips, Nightbird Dances, and more.

Showcase Congratulations

The Orlando Chapter of USA Dance and City of Atlamonte Springs hosted a "Boot Scootin'" Ballroom Showcase on March 23. More than 30 dancers performed as well as guests from the ballroom community. To view photos from the event, visit our Facebook page.
