Camp Registration Now Open!

Camp is offered on Wednesdays for 8 weeks in January/February at Eastmonte Recreation Center. The camp includes the following activities: crafts, field trips, guest speakers, games, and much more! Bring your own lunch and we provide the rest! The cost is $50.00 for the entire 8-week session and financial assistance is available. Space is limited.

Volunteers are needed to serve as counselors at camp.

The number of volunteers recruited will determine the number of campers we can accommodate. Volunteers do not have to commit to each Wednesday, but that is preferred.

Camp Registration:
Registration is now open and the first day of camp is Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

A great new partnership

The holiday season is a good time to think about all you have to be thankful for and reflect on a year of memories. Did you know that within a year, Altamonte Springs Special Needs Recreation held over 150 practices, activities and events to more than 400 members of our special needs community? Just think of how many stories, laughs, and memories were shared during those moments together.

We are so grateful for the support of our donors, volunteers and participants. Thanks to you we are able to offer all these programs to our special needs community and we continue to grow. On behalf of the Advisory Board for the Disabled and Altamonte Springs Recreation, we thank you for a great year of accomplishments and memories.

Keep an eye out for our next e-newsletter with a copy of our 2014 Events Calendar and Newsletter. We look forward to making more memories with you in 2014!

Merry Christmas from Bea Michalski

There is nothing Bea loves more than working with our Special Needs Participants. She volunteers at many programs including Nightbird Dances, Camps and more! Her love for our participants radiates through her smile! And Bea is always giving back to our programs. At each Nightbird Dance, she prints out the photos of the previous month's dance, so the participants can take the memories home with them!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
