April 2014 E-Notes

Blessings this amazing April with creation blossoming forth as we hold all that we love knowing the challenges before us stated in the recent

So much is happening during April-Earth Month, and actually the entire spring. Here is a picture of our wonderful women artists with one of Judith Roderick's amazing silk paintings of cranes. We Are the Eighth Day event was truly inspiring March 23 and OXFAM was wonderful to partner with.  A recording of the presentations can be found at www.nm-ipl.org/we-are-the-eighth-day/

A great group of faith leaders have been meeting for months to plan the Wild GRACE camp/retreat for young people (7-12) with their parents, guardians, grandparents or adult mentors. It will be an awesome gathering June 5-8...all we need now is YOU!  See more info below.

I had the opportunity as one of the OXFAM sister ambassadors on the planet to hear stories of struggle and success from women in Central America and Africa as we celebrated International Women's Day, while bringing light to climate change and lobbying on Capitol Hill. As people of faith, are voices are needed and listened to as we address the moral and ethical implications of climate change. Here one of our African sisters is honored for her work.

There is so much to celebrate and so much to do. We are so grateful for walking this journey of loving Earth and neighbor together as we celebrate Earth Day, April 22.

Peace and grace,
