Blessings to hearts and souls. At NMIPL, we want to thank you for all of the ways that you cared for creation and the future this year with your actions, prayers, meditation and spiritual practices.

We are also grateful for the many letters that we have receive d that will go to our president and legislative leaders in earlyJanuary calling for climate action and also for all of your generous donations. If you have not responded to our end-of-year letter, you still have time. If you did not receive the letter, please let us know.  Also, the letter to president and legislators can be downloaded here . Add your comment, name, address and e-mail and send to NMIPL.

*Using this money with PNM Quick Saver Program for lighting if you are in PNM service area

*Water saving devices and water harvesting system
*Initial investment into solar

Larry will share insights from his new book, Earth Honoring Faith: Religious Ethics in a New Key. Everyone is invited, especially ordained ministers and faith leaders. Larry's book explores an earth ethic that draws on religious resources to transition from our current consumption-driven society to an ecological age that restores wise stewardship of all life. People of Faith Caring for Water, Air, Soil and Community: Legislative Advocacy Day

Meet at 8 am---day finishes around 2:00

Westminster Presbyterian Church, Santa Fe

Join other people of faith to learn about environmental concerns of the 2013 New Mexico Legislative Session and then visit legislators, offices and make a difference.Briefing on issue will be done by Conservation Voters New Mexico. Participants will be engaged in follow-up on focus issues during the session and will be able to invite others from their congregations to get engaged. Everyone is welcome. Please RSVP to coordinate resources and car pooling.

Resources for Lenten Programs and More...

NMIPL has copies of Blessed Earth's Guide Book and DVD's with 12 sessions on Hope for Creation and Hope for Humanity by Matthew Sleeth. This is suitable adult (or middle or high school). It could be utilized by Christian denominations for Lent or any time of year.

 

NMIPL will have its Annual Lenten Carbon Fast Calendar on the website by mid-December. 


Lent 4.5 Christian Simplicity by the Passionist Earth & Spirit Center is a Lenten Program for Protestant
