We are thankful for all the support we have received in 2015 thus far. Special thanks to everyone who support the Chapter's Great American MeatOut on March 21 - 22, 2015. The Chapter made new friends at the Veggie Parade on March 29th in the Village. Special thanks to Ms. Pamela Rice for allowing us to share literature and wellness product samples with the attendees. Kweisi & Shai attended this event on behalf of the Chapter for the first time. Dr. Natural was speaker amongst so many wonderful speakers of the day. Ms. Rice has done an awesome job of running and organizing this event for 25 years and shortly she will pass the mantel on. She is also the author of "101 Reasons I'm a Vegetarian."

For those who have not met the Chapter's Sensational Seniors of the Bronx & Harlem, see their fabulous photo below. Their monthly Reflexology Parties are hosted in the Bronx by Mother Marlene Perrineau and in Harlem by Mother Marva Nelson. They receive reflexology & shoulder massage treatments from Sista Shai who is very, very proud of their progress. They are already quite active but now that their legs and health are stronger, there is no catching up to this bunch !! They do Latin Dance, travel abroad together and support one another in their wellness:

Harlem Holistic Wellness Week 2015 will begin on Saturday April 25th for a seven day period ending on Saturday May 2nd. The week will focus on natural ways to address health. Many people young and old are seeking natural holistic options to wellness. The seven day week will serve as a marketing platform; for Harlem based wellness organizations, practitioners and businesses to promote their services. The marketing structure of the week will also provide businesses in the wellness industry worldwide an opportunity to advertise to an ever changing demographic in Americans most famous urban community.
On every last Saturday in April hundreds of thousands of people in 100s of cities from over 80 nations celebrate World Tai Chi Day www.worldtaichiday.org starting at 10:00am in each time zone by doing energy movements with a one mind focus on wellness and world peace.
This is one reason why the first day of Harlem Holistic Wellness Week starts on the last Saturday in April a day when thousands of people have a one mind focus on the manifestation of wellness and positive energy. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and other energy wellness movement demonstrations and instruction will take place in Harlem on Saturday April 25th.
The April 23rd and April 30th issues of Harlem Community News will have a wellness page with a wellness week schedule of events and locations. The two issues will also provide an advertising opportunity for wellness practitioners, businesses and organizations to promote their services to a growing market. The marketing team at Harlem's Alive www.harlemsalive.com will provide a host of advertising options that will bring the wellness service provider and the wellness service explorer together.

I was digging through so old family puppy photos are ran across a pix of my owner, Nikki, with my old buddy, Roxxi, who died a couple years ago. It was taken when Roxxi was just a pup. I really miss Roxxi. We share this photo of Roxxi with her owner, Betty Clarke, who furnishes many of the videos for this column as her way to healing of Roxxi's passing. We miss and luv you Roxxi and know this column created in your memory is bring so much joy to all who read. Ruff, Ruff."

About MS
Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.
