Last newsletter, we introduced everyone to the Chapter's Sensational Seniors of the Bronx & Harlem. Their monthly Reflexology Parties are hosted in the Bronx by Mother Marlene Perrineau and in Harlem by Mother Marva Nelson. They receive reflexology & shoulder massage treatments from Sista Shai who is very, very proud of their progress. They are already quite active but now that their legs and health are stronger, there is no catching up to this bunch !! They do Latin Dance, travel abroad together and support one another in their wellness:

These Certifications are only offered annually. In order to secure your seat a 50% deposit will be required and balance paid before the start of class. These instructors are quite busy, so if we don't have enough students to proceed, we must give the instructors at least a one month notice so they can take up other engagements. Do take advantage of the opportunity to get their training allotted to the Chapter. With each certification includes, a visit to the Bodies Exhibit in NYC, your meals, workbooks, 1-year membership and study groups. (Except for Dr. Afrika's Course, students must purchase his book directly from him or amazon.com before start of class). Many have stated an intention to take the courses based on the Chapter Survey and feedback.
For the Chapter's Member Appreciation Week, Dr. Akua & Dr. Chenu Gray will be hosting four class from May 27th - June 1st. These classes will be FREE to paid Chapter Members. So we decided to have a 3-Day Health & Wellness Affair in Queens to offer wellness services, wellness products, vegan food, wellness workshops & 3 film screenings. Vending is limited to select Member Practitioners. Brother G will also be one hand with his Epic novels "Shades of Memon", "Nimrod the Hunter" and "Queen Nefertari. One of our film screenings will be "Chewicide" by Chef Keidi Awadu. He will be calling in via Skype for Questions & Answers on May 25th.

After years of communing with spirits who dwell within the god realms, I have found my way to a place I like to call the Ancestral Village. In this place, the ancestors fervently share our ancient technologies. I'd like to give you all a taste of this precious wisdom, and invite you to join us in The Village!
The ancestors love us and they want us to be restored to wholeness.
They see how the betrayal of our traditions caused us to fall prey to others who wished to enslave us.
These days, the theme of slavery is in the forefront: 12 Years a Slave, Django. How did those of us whose spiritual advancement was irrefutable fall prey to such crude means of domination?
The ancestors have been sharing with me exactly how we betrayed our sacred knowledge and became trapped in a materialist paradigm. This was not our true nature.
For 2014, "Black history month" should be devoted to the recognition of the tribes whose spiritual technologies made it impossible for them to be enslaved. They don't teach us THAT in school- how the Ibo and the Asante (Ashanti) people, to name a few, used the science of ritual to make them impervious to capture. The ancestors have been sharing with me the essence of these methods so that we can achieve the ultimate liberation: A liberation of consciousness.

Mut Shat Shemsut/Gianprem is a Level 2 practitioner of Ra Sekhi Kemetic Reiki, having studied with Master Teacher Rekhit Kajara Assata Nebthet in Oakland, California. She is also a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher. After eight years of practice, she began study with Krishna Kaur in Los Angeles, receiving her Level 1 certification in 2008. WEP RENPET RETREAT CELEBRATION
We are beginning our preparations for this year's celebration of Wep RenPet, the Opening of the Kemetic Year.
As we did this past August, we will celebrate Wep RenPet at The Country Place Retreat & Conference Center in White Haven, PA during a three-day retreat weekend (August 1 - 3, 2014).

We have succeeded at fending off unnecessary cost increases (!) and the total per adult person cost for the entire weekend remains at $425. This includes lodging, meals (vegan/vegetarian), and all activities. Transportation to and fro is not included. Children under 14 are priced differently; teens 14 and up are priced as adults.
As with last year, for each person that you refer, you will have $25 deducted from your retreat fee as soon as they register and place their deposit. The only caveat to this is that the person must be someone who is brand new (meaning, has never attended a retreat with the Temple of Anu previously).
