His birthday is April 6th. He was featured at our Chapter's Annual Great American Meat Out on March 22nd where his Vegan Lasagne was totally AWESOME!!

After years of communing with spirits who dwell within the god realms, I have found my way to a place I like to call the Ancestral Village. In this place, the ancestors fervently share our ancient technologies. I'd like to give you all a taste of this precious wisdom, and invite you to join us in The Village!
The ancestors love us and they want us to be restored to wholeness.
They see how the betrayal of our traditions caused us to fall prey to others who wished to enslave us.
These days, the theme of slavery is in the forefront: 12 Years a Slave, Django. How did those of us whose spiritual advancement was irrefutable fall prey to such crude means of domination?
The ancestors have been sharing with me exactly how we betrayed our sacred knowledge and became trapped in a materialist paradigm. This was not our true nature.
For 2014, "Black history month" should be devoted to the recognition of the tribes whose spiritual technologies made it impossible for them to be enslaved. They don't teach us THAT in school- how the Ibo and the Asante (Ashanti) people, to name a few, used the science of ritual to make them impervious to capture. The ancestors have been sharing with me the essence of these methods so that we can achieve the ultimate liberation: A liberation of consciousness.

We are beginning our preparations for this year's celebration of Wep RenPet, the Opening of the Kemetic Year.
As we did this past August, we will celebrate Wep RenPet at The Country Place Retreat & Conference Center in White Haven, PA during a three-day retreat weekend (August 1 - 3, 2014).

We have succeeded at fending off unnecessary cost increases (!) and the total per adult person cost for the entire weekend remains at $425. This includes lodging, meals (vegan/vegetarian), and all activities. Transportation to and fro is not included. Children under 14 are priced differently; teens 14 and up are priced as adults.
As with last year, for each person that you refer, you will have $25 deducted from your retreat fee as soon as they register and place their deposit. The only caveat to this is that the person must be someone who is brand new (meaning, has never attended a retreat with the Temple of Anu previously).

Solar-Powered Retiree & Inspiration
Etta Dixon has been retired for more than 20 years, but she hasn't slowed down. The former Metropolitan Transit Authority Secretary and Local 1655 member has a busy agenda counseling seniors on health and nutrition issues, volunteering at Brookdale Hospital and at a local senior center, and doing secretarial work several days a week for the DC 37 Retirees Association.
Later, the 78-year-old Brooklyn native and her friends like to dance the night away to the sounds of a big band at clubs like the Copacabana.
Dixon is also passionate about protecting the environment. She started recycling long before it became widespread, and in 2006 became the first in her Brownsville neighborhood to equip her roof with solar panels that heat water for the two-story, four-family home.
"We don't have to burn fuel, we get free energy from the sun," she explained. She got $5,000 in tax credits and an additional senior citizens discount off the price for the installation, which helps her save an estimated 50 percent on hot water. Two years ago she added new panels that generate all the electricity to light the building's halls and basement.
Always looking for ways to cut costs and protect the environment, Dixon took her considerable savings from the solar panels and bought a Honda Civic with the Eco Assist feature found in some hybrid cars that helps her burn less gas and fill the tank less often.
"If you can save money and stop polluting the air why not?" asked Dixon, who recently started a letter-writing campaign to gather support for tax credits for people who buy hybrid vehicles. "These measures help everyone," explained Dixon. "They create new green jobs, and help clean up the environment so everyone down the road can enjoy a healthier lifestyle."
