Kindergarten to Pretend City

On Tuesday, March 19th, Kindergarten took a field trip to Pretend City in Irvine. Students were experiencing many surroundings Pretend City had to offer. All students had a chance to be a doctor, dentist, grocery clerk, a chef, a police officer, a fire fighter, and a banker. They all had a great time pretending to be someone else.

Student Spotlight - Ryan G., 3rd Grader

North Tustin Campus third-grader Ryan G. has been selected to play on a team that will represent the states of California, Arizona, and Nevada in the Brick Invitational Super Novice Hockey Tournament in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 1-7. The "Brick" is considered the top hockey tournament in North America for young players born in 2003. Over 15 teams from designated regions in Canada and the United States will participate. Games are played in the West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping and entertainment mall in North America. Ryan was selected to Team California after two days of tryouts at the Toyota Sports Center in Los Angeles. We are wishing him good luck!

Fun Run - Thursday, May 2nd

Get ready! Get set! Go! It's the 2013 Fun Run fundraiser on May 2nd!

As part its Fun Run fundraiser, the North Tustin Campus Parent Association (NTCPA) is selling commemorative Fun Run T-shirts. The front of the shirt will feature artwork by an NTCPA student and the back of the shirt will list Fun Run sponsors. Proceeds from the Fun Run go to support the school. Sponsor forms with checks to the NTCPA are due March 27th in the NTPA drop box in the front office or to your child's homeroom teacher.

Prep TEC Program Launch Gala

Please join us at Fairmont Preparatory Academy on Thursday, March 28 from 6-8pm for a gala event to launch our new Prep TEC Program. We invite you to join us to hear all about our technology program, including the two years of research and professional development behind it. See the program in action by visiting our department-specific "classroom experiences." 2nd Grade Whale Watching Adventure

On Friday, March 15, both second grade classes went whale watching. We were able to see many dophins, California sea lions, and even two whales! The students loved seeing all the sea creatures from different angles on the boat. At one point the dolphins were swimming right next to the boat. Some of the children enjoyed buying hot chocolate and treats from the inside of the boat and stayed inside to keep warm as it was a chilly day. Towards the end of the trip the sun finally came out and the students were able to enjoy their lunches on the sandy beach. It was a great trip. Second grader, Nishtha said, "This was the best trip ever!"
