The Wizard of Oz Spectacular
NORTH TUSTIN CAMPUS' "THE WIZARD OF OZ"
IS A CRITICAL SUCCESS!
"The show was fantastic, well done!"..."Each student matched the characters so well!"..."Thoroughly enjoyable!"..."It was a wonderful production!"
Thank you to the cast and crew of the Winter Junior High Production of "The Wizard of Oz" -- you made us proud!
The Wizard of Oz performance last Friday and Saturday night was one of North Tustin's best shows. Dorothy was played by Alexa M., 7th grader, who did an amazing job! The Tin Man, Vincent Z., Scarecrow, Parker C., and the Lion, Eric F., performed beautifully. The junior high students put a lot of work and energy into this show and it came out to be a huge success. We are looking forward to next big show in the spring!

Feature Article 8th Grade to Juvenile Justice Center
On Tuesday, January 29th, the 8th Graders visited the Juvenile Justice Center to participate in the Juvenile Justice Education Together (JJET) program. Attending chaperones were Mr. Hughes and Mrs. Huang. The program was an excellent supplement to the class's discussion of the American legal system, and it provided the students with great information about our local court system.
The trip began at the DA's Office on the 4th floor of the Juvenile Justice Center where the deputy district attorney explained the legal process from the time a juvenile commits a crime until his or her ultimate "sentence" by a judicial officer. The students then visited Orange County Juvenile Hall where a probation officer educated them on a minor's life while incarcerated. Before leaving, the students had an opportunity to see a court room and meet personally with a judicial officer.
In all, the trip was an exciting look into the legal process for California.
