2nd grade If I Were President

PHOTO & QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Election Day in Mrs. Escutia's 2nd Graders

Meena S. - Today the whole United States is voting for president. This happens every four years.

Rayhan J. - If I were president I will make new taxes. I will make new laws. I will make new speed limits. Gas should be $2.50. Oil should be $0.04. Tax should be $0.05 more. The government should give 10 cents each day. $10 less for a speeding ticket.

Erik S. - My favorite thing I did on Election Day was eating a popsicle because I love popsicles and it was free. I think Mrs. Escutia gave it to us so that we could remember the Election Day as a fun day. I wish there is another Election Day soon.

Kian A. - If I were president I would make 200,000 new jobs. Tax prices would go down. I would send the army to help out other countries. I would make local libraries everywhere. I would make world peace. I would make more transportation. I would make the army attack another army attacking us.

Nishtha K. - I learned that voting is important. You can't tell who you voted for. Obama is a Democrat and Romney is Republican. Elections are important. Presidents make lots of policies. If I was 18 years old, I would vote for President Barak Obama because he is a man I trust. I would become a president and give a lot of speeches. I have to tell the government if the laws are fair.

2nd grade Kaneski 2012

If I were president....2nd graders in Mrs. Kaneski Class

Logan P - "I would give everyone 1 million dollars."

Amin John A. - "I would have easy homework and make people rich and have mansions and pets."

Diego F. - "I will give homeless people homes and food."

John Lawrence B. - "I'd lower the taxes to $5.95 for every person every month."

Jackson R. - "I would make sure there was no school on Mondays and Friday, so you can spend your time playing."

Big John Fire Truck visits Preschool

Preschool Fire Truck 2012Our preschool classes enjoyed a STOP, DROP & ROLL presentation given by "Big John" the talking Fire Truck and fire fighter Scott last Tuesday the 6th. The students were also taught how to call 9-1-1 in case of an emergency. With smiles all around, each preschool student sat in the driver seat of the Fire Truck. We encourage you to practice an emergency drill at home and how to call 9-1-1 in case of an emergency.
