We're Listening!
We are pleased to announce the addition of a second Junior Kindergarten classroom. Here at Fairmont it is always wonderful when we are able to have the opportunity to work with more students by giving them the experience of a Fairmont Education and grow as a school community.
Our second Junior Kindergarten class will begin on November 5th and will be taught by Ms. Megan Montague. Ms. Montague has previously taught Junior Kindergarten and has been team teaching with our Master Teacher, Mrs. Cynthia Fraser in first grade for the last several years. Mrs. Fraser will now return to a full-time teaching schedule for her first grade class as Ms. Montague steps into the teacher role in the new JK class. We are hosting a Meet and Greet with Ms. Montague and her new students and their parents on Monday, November 5 at the beginning of class to welcome them to their new room.

Head Lice
Head lice is always a concern throughout Orange County schools. We would like to proactively address the issue by providing information on this topic. As we go through the school year, keep in mind some precautions to prevent and treat the problem should it occur. The following website outlines important information including do's and dont's:
Here are some additional resources that you can use should you require treatment for your child.
If a case of lice is brought to our attention we will notify the class involved and require that the infected student be treated and cleared before returning to school. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Prep Plus at Fairmont Prep
Prep Plus is the complimentary after school program offered to all students at Fairmont Prep. This program provides students the opportunity to participate in enrichment workshops outside the classroom, ranging from yoga to professional internships. Check out the most recent Prep Plus schedule and workshops to explore the wide variety of course offerings.
Both preschool classes enjoyed a pumpkin patch last Friday, October 26th in their play yard complete with pumpkins to decorate, music, storytelling, and treats. This is part of our parent play date series that we will be hosting throughout the school year to give parents and preschoolers opportunities to do activities together. We understand how important it is for the parents and students to share their experiences at school. These play dates help our preschoolers share their special times with loved ones building their confidence.
