Executive Communication Training Once a year, the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life invites community advocates, association executives, and nonprofit leaders to hone their communication skills alongside some of the best in the business. It's primarily aimed at nonprofit and association leaders who can't afford corporate rates, so a weekend training, which could be upwards of $10,000, is offered for $650. The training is tons of fun, very interactive and includes sessions on effectively delivering speeches, engaging your audiences, message development, being on camera and more - below is additional information, including an awesome testimonial from one of our participants last year. If you or someone you know in the community would be interested in this training, go ahead and pass this along and/or sign up. It is well worth the investment of time and a little bit of money to sharpen your presentation skills. How can our training help you? 2013 ECT alumna Maegan Ellis (Director of Development and Communication for the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas) was recently interviewed on FOX 7 Austin to talk about Literacy Awareness Month. Maegan emailed after the interview and said: "I would absolutely not have been able to do this without my training from the Annette Strauss Institute. I put so many of the tools I learned to use here and am incredibly proud to be able to represent my organization this well."
