MHS photo editor Randi Penn won first place for Sports Photography in the Class A division at the 22nd annual Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day competition. 

Also, congrats to the MHS Select Women's Choir received all 1's at UIL competition.

MISD School Board Candidate Forum

Learn about the candidates insight on issues and overall perspective of MISD by attending the School Board candidate forum on Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the MHS auditorium. KayLynn Day Selected As New Asst. Superintendent 
The School Board unanimously approved KayLynn Day as the new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Student Services, effective May 13.  She replaces Robin Bullock, who was appointed Assistant Superintendent in Allen ISD. 
Tipton
Congratulations to Krista Tipton! New Principal of High School #2 

Tipton has served 19 years at Midlothian High School as a chemistry and AP biology teacher, coach and assistant principal.  She has provided instructional and administrative leadership at the campus and district levels, including positive staff relations, building a strong community climate and maintaining a very strong focus on student achievement. 5K 4Kids
Register for MEF 5K4Kids

MEF's annual 5K has a new name, but is still the same fun and challenging race! Join us Saturday, April 27 for the 5K4Kids and Fun Run at the Midlothian High School parking lot. Check in begins at 9:00am and the race and Fun Run begin at 10:00am. Visit the 5K4Kids website  for details and to register.

Walnut Grove theater students performed "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the One Act Play competition at Cedar Hill High School. Damien De Los Santos received the Best Actor Award and Mackenzie Pickett was awarded Outstanding Tech. Rachel Ussery, Shakira Musa, and Juwan Crawford were all named to the All-Star Cast.
