New Rate Secured From Direct Energy
| |
Officials of the Northern Illinois Governmental Electric Aggregation Consortium, which includes the Village of Huntley, is pleased to report that they have secured a new rate for the second year of the aggregation program with Direct Energy. The rate of 4.9867 cents per kWh continues to be lower than ComEd's.
Direct Energy will be mailing opt-out letters to newly eligible residents in May. Those residents will be added to the program unless they opt-out during the 21-day period mentioned in the letter.
Current participants will receive a rate-change notice from Direct Energy and do not need to take any action to remain in the program.
We are pleased to have made this program possible and ask that you contact Direct Energy at 866-760-6040 with any questions.

You will learn about the early warning system, criteria for siren activation, what to do when you hear a siren, and other important safeguards such as owning NOAA weather alert radios. The Village encourages all residents to review the short 5 minute video.
