This announcement solicits applications for two (2) separate competitions:  R40 Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Field-Initiated Innovative Research Studies (FIRST) and R40 MCH Secondary Data Analysis Research (SDAR). The research findings of the R40 MCH FIRST and R40 MCH SDAR programs should be generalizable and of regional or national significance. Intervening with Cancer Caregivers to Improve Patient Health Outcomes and Optimize Health Care Utilization (NIH)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for intervention research designed to support caregivers of adult cancer patients. Midcareer Investigator Award in Patient-Oriented Research (NIH)

The purpose of the NIH Midcareer Investigator Award in Patient-Oriented Research is to provide support to mid-career health-professional doctorates or equivalent who are typically at the Associate Professor level or the equivalent for protected time to devote to patient-oriented research (POR) and to act as research mentors primarily for clinical residents, clinical fellows and/or junior clinical faculty. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage applications from the scientific community to support outstanding research in the area of puberty and the trajectory of sexual development. The SEBAS data allow researchers to explore the relationships among life challenges, the social environment and health and to examine antecedents, correlates and consequences of change in biological measures and health. This webinar will provide an overview of the unique sources of information available in SEBAS and will show examples of how these data can be used in combination with other biosocial surveys for comparative analyses. About 9 percent of the U.S. population are veterans of the U.S. military. A large and growing proportion of this veteran population is composed of those age 55 and over, "older" Americans. As this group grows older, it is important to consider their unique characteristics and issues, which include health problems and physical limitations associated with aging.
