On Tuesday, April 14, BBL 2nd Graders took a field trip to KumGangSan, a Korean restaurant in Flushing, Queens, thanks to a generous grant from the Korean Education Center in New York.  The restaurant served a fantastic buffet of Korean food.  It was the first time for most of the students to eat a Korean meal, and many children went back for seconds!  At the end of the lunch, our students sang traditional Korean folk songs, much to the surprise of the restaurant staff.  You can hear them yourself by watching below:

BBL Korean Assembly to be Sponsored by Korean Cultural Service NY!

 

On Wednesday, May 20th, BBL students will perform Korean songs again at our school's Korean Heritage Appreciation Assembly.  The event will also include performances of Korean music and dance by professionals from the Korean Traditional Music and Dance Institute of New York, and a Korean drama starring BBL staff and students.
