BBL Parents Rally in Support of Second Charter School

As we move closer to confirming the location for BBL 2, we continue to appreciate the backing of our parents, staff and community members.

At last Monday's joint public hearing, community members and parents were invited to share their support and concerns about the proposed plan to co-locate at MS144 in the Bronx. The hearing was well attended by 25 BBL parents and staff, who testified that our school provides an excellent program and needs to expand to a second campus to better serve District 11. This hearing was chaired by District Superintendent Maria Lopez.

The final step in the approval process will be the PEP (Panel for Education Policy) meeting on February 25th, at which the panel will vote on the co-location plan. We urge parents and community members to attend this meeting to show their support for BBL 2.
