The upcoming Spring Gala for the Bronx Charter School for Better Learning, which was scheduled to take place on June 4, 2014, has been postponed. It is with great difficulty that I write this letter informing all of our supporters, parents, friends and family of this decision.

The postponement of our event was based on the safety and convenience of all of our guests. The Jennifer Lopez June 4th performance at Orchard Beach (located next to our venue, Pelham Bay Split Rock Golf Course) will undoubtedly cause major traffic delays and possible road closures according to local police authorities. I recognize the fact that most of you have already made arrangements by re-organizing your calendars and submitting ticket payments and donations. Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience.

We appreciate your support and dedication to BBL and the work we are doing with Bronx youth. I hope to see you at the rescheduled event. Please look out for more information about our next event in the coming months.
