Interested in a New Silverdale Library? |
Come to the special Town Hall Meeting of the Central Kitsap Community Council, 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, to hear about KRL's progress toward a new Silverdale Library and to share your vision and ideas for a new facility. You will learn about the three site options that KRL has developed. There will also be a presentation on what a new Silverdale Library could look like and what features modern libraries offer. KRL originally proposed building a new Silverdale Library through a property tax levy, but since the defeat of that levy, we have focused on preparing for a capital campaign to pay for the library with grants and private donations. The last step before launching that fundraising effort is to select the site for the new library. We hope you'll attend this meeting and share your views with us. Your ideas will be incorporated into our recommendations to the KRL Board of Trustees. We hope our Board can decide on the location in June. Thursday March 20, 7 p.m. Water District Office, 5300 NW Newberry Hill Rd. Silverdale. |
