What better way to kick off the summer than by being honored by one of your favorite organizations?!
In June, the Brooke Jackman Foundation was acknowledged at Women In Need's annual Volunteer Reception as a Corporate Partner of the organization, in the excellent company of Kingsborough Community College and Estee Lauder/Clinique.
Women In Need provides housing, help and hope to homeless and disadvantaged New York City women and their families. Through comprehensive programs such as shelter, supportive permanent housing, job training, domestic violence services, alcohol and substance abuse treatment and childcare, WIN offers the tools and guidance that allow our families to return to their communities and live independently. Much like the Brooke Jackman Foundation, WIN provides the necessary foundation for those who pass through the organization to maintain a prosperous future.
Many of the women that rely on Women In Need come complete with a family of young ones. At the beginning of every school year, these children receive one of our renowned Brooke Packs to ensure that they can start the new school year off completely prepared. On their birthdays, they are also recipients of "Brooke's Books," our very special selection of books specifically chosen for these momentous occasions.
The Brooke Jackman Foundation thanks Women In Need for the recognition and looks forward to continuing our work of promoting literacy to the underserved children of New York!
