Learn to dance La Cueca and practice Chilean Spanish!
The Chilean Independence Day celebration is commemorated on September 18th, yet Chileans celebrate all month! There are many Bay Area celebrations throughout the month of September, that I will be posting on facebook, twitter, and via this Newsletter.
Come learn the basic steps to "La Cueca," to prepare and join the upcoming festivities.
María Paz Peña Lorca, a professional Chilean dancer from Chile's legendary folklore dance ensemble Ballet Folclórico de Chile, BAFOCHI, will teach the basic fundamentals to get you started and dancing in no time.
After our dance lessons we will practice freestyle, enjoy Chile Lindo empanadas, Chilean wine, Torta de Mil Hojas (cake), Arroz con Leche (rice pudding), Flan Español de La Julia, and Caffé D'Melanio's exceptional coffee and espresso bar.
