Wow -- October is a busy month! We're celebrating Co-op Month, Food Day and Non-GMO Month ... plus, we just launched our Fall Member-Owner Drive and are putting the final details together for our Annual Meeting & Celebration. We hope to see you all at this event on Saturday, October 25, 5 - 9 pm. at Heberton Hall in Keene (next to the Keene Public Library on Winter Street).
Speaking of celebrations, we are busy gearing up for the holidays. Our Thanksgiving Turkey Pre-order sheet is now available in the Meat Department and we are bringing in more products to meet more of your holiday celebration needs. As always, we welcome your product requests and suggestions.
Yours cooperatively,
Michael Faber

Everything is Coming Up Pumpkins
By Mary Veerkamp, Monadnock Food Co-op Marketing & Membership

What is it about that first hint of autumn in the air that stirs the craving for pumpkin-inspired foods? I am not immune to this phenomenon. I find myself craving pumpkin pie right around early September, even though I rarely have pumpkin pie any time other than at Thanksgiving dinner. In the last 4 years, even that annual indulgence has been difficult, given my allergies to wheat, dairy, and eggs, though this year I may bravely attempt a vegan pumpkin pie.

Monadnock Food Co-op Annual Meeting & Celebration
This year's event will be catered by the fabulous Co-op Deli and will feature local bluegrass favorite, Hot Mustard. Both Henniker Brewing and Smuttynose Brewing will be on hand, providing samples and pints of selected brews.
This year's theme is Own, Use, Serve, Belong, Celebrate! and highlights all the ways we participate in making our Cooperative the best it can be. We are especially pleased to announce the inaugural Co-operator of the Year Award, to be presented at the annual meeting. Please view the full schedule.
