Winner of 2012 Raffle Boat

  Raffle boat winner Glenn Kittren (left) of Springs in East Hampton with Tom Rosko of Southampton, group leader of the volunteers who built the Swampscott dory in 2012 at the East End Classic Boat Society's Community Boat Shop in Amagansett. Glenn won the boat raffle drawing that took place during the society's Holiday Open House held at the boat shop on Saturday, December 15th. A new trailer and pair of oars was won with the boat. The raffle is a fundraiser for the East End Classic Boat Society. The society wishes to thank all who purchased raffle tickets. Raffle ticket purchases help support the mission of the organization: small wood boat building.     

Holiday Dinner Party  

Reminder to mail in your reservation form and payment for the East End Classic Boat Society's holiday dinner party by Friday, December 21st. The party will be held Thursday, December 27th beginning 6:30 p.m. at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. The price for current members of the society is $55 per person including tax and gratuities. Construction has begun on the 2013 raffle boat, a Goeller dinghy; a boat that can be rowed or sailed and is capable of taking a small motor. You are invited to observe the building of the Goeller dinghy at the Community Boat Shop in Amagansett any Wednesday or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
