BIOWORKS CONTINUES TO REINVEST

Enhances safety and reduces waste

Victor, New York (February 10, 2015) -
BioWorks, Inc., committed to creating a safer environment, continues to make investments within the organization to increase safety, efficiency and employee engagement and satisfaction. Significant upgrades to the manufacturing areas and laboratory space are being made, and will be completed by the second week in February, this year.

The manufacturing updates being made to the Victor facility will increase both safety and efficiency. New equipment being installed includes sealed systems which will help to lower dust levels (that were already significantly below OSHA standards). Also, by utilizing additional lean manufacturing techniques some critical cycle times will be shortened.

The laboratory space has already been completed, and includes a make-over that added both equipment and space. This upgrade will help streamline the company's new product development efforts. Other benefits of the make-over will include streamlined quality control and enhanced internal training sessions.

"BioWorks' purpose is to create a safer environment," says Bill Foster, BioWorks' president. "One way we accomplish this is through the products we offer: environmentally responsible, safe and effective insect control, disease control and plant nutrition products. Another way we accomplish this is with an internal focus, making sure our team members work and thrive in the best space available." He adds, "We are very happy that our investments will improve the way we train, and retain, our team."
