Verdanta™ is the name of a new family of high quality granular and liquid fertilizers offered by BioWorks®. While the brand name is new, the products have a history of successful use. BioWorks has partnered with DCM®, an industry leader with 30+ years of experience in producing organic and organic based fertilizers. Initially BioWorks will offer five Verdanta products. Three of the Verdanta products are dry granular fertilizers utilizing the proprietary DCM MINIGRAN® technology - more about that later. The two remaining products are liquid fertilizers. The product line will not stop here. BioWorks will continue to broaden the line with additional products to meet grower needs.
Presently the Verdanta product line consists of five products:
- Verdanta™ GM-2 is a general purpose granular NPK fertilizer suitable for use on a wide variety of plants grown under cover or outdoors in pots and field soils. GM-2 has an analysis of 7-6 12 and is derived from organic and mineral fertilizer sources.
- Verdanta™ RM-1 is a high phosphorus-containing granular fertilizer is used to provide a base level of phosphorus suitable for any crop, and especially those that have high P demands or is used in propagation for enhancing root growth. RM-1 has an analysis of 4-30-0 and is derived from organic and mineral fertilizer sources.
- Verdanta™ OFE is a liquid foliar feed containing a trio of interesting features: 3% nitrogen, 3% iron, and 3% seaweed extract. The two chelated iron sources are iron DTPA and iron complexed with citrate. OFE will correct iron deficiency and green up plant foliage.
- Verdanta™ K-Vita™ is a high potassium-containing granular fertilizer which is utilized to supply potassium to those crops that can benefit from extra K. The analysis of K-Vita is 2-0-20. K-Vita is derived from all organic nutrient sources and BioWorks has submitted an application for OMRI Listing.
- Verdanta™ PL-2 is a liquid fertilizer for supplying additional potassium to organic crops. PL-2 has an analysis of 2-0-6 and is derived from all organic nutrient sources. BioWorks has submitted an application for OMRI Listing.
MINIGRAN® Technology 
Verdanta granular fertilizers are formulated using the exclusive DCM MINIGRAN process which produces microgranules that have excellent properties such as:
- Homogeneous nutrient content (every granule has the same analysis)
- Good product density
- Uniform granule size
- Free flowing through all types of application equipment
- Better control of nutrient release
- No dust
This unique technology results in very consistent products with a perfectly uniform nutrient content and with a homogeneous composition.
Organic Nutrient Sources
Each Verdanta product contains meticulously selected, uncomposted organic raw materials, which provide a variety of benefits:
- Gradual, longer-lasting nutrient release
- Significant reduction of nutrient leaching (up to 4 times)
- Each nutrient source attracts its own specific group of micro-organisms
- The available nutrients support a wide variety of crops and soil organisms
- They contribute to building soil structure and sustain microorganisms that together enable optimum root growth with resulting better plant growth
