Safeguarding God's Children

...is for all of us as the Body of Christ. Anywhere children gather, so do those who prey on them. It's a hard message to accept but if we all know how to:

Watch for the warning signs,

Teach our children (grandchildren/nieces/nephews), and

Act when we see something that makes us uncomfortable,

we can help keep children safe.

That's what Safeguarding God's Children training teaches us. I encourage everyone to attend a training to learn these valuable tools for the children of CtK and the all the children in your life. We will also discuss the specific strategies CtK is taking to keep children safe.

Watch the weekly e-mail and announcements sheet for upcoming dates. If you'd like more information about Safeguarding God's Children, click here.&

f2_studyNext f2 (faith x family) Couples Study - Not a Fan

faith x family Twenty times in the New Testament, Jesus issued a compelling and challenging invitation to Follow Him. He's not interested in mere fans. He doesn't want enthusiastic admirers. He wants Completely Committed Followers. Based on the engaging approach of Kyle Idleman, this one-of-a-kind small group study examines what it means to deny one's self and truly follow Jesus. A series of six mini-movies, followed by group discussion, provide a unique perspective to help shape today's believer into a first century Christ-follower.

Come be part of our Not a Fan study on Wednesdays (beginning 10/16) at 6:30 p.m. in room 227 (led by Brent & Megan Klein) or Sundays (beginning 10/20) at 6 p.m. in room 227 (led by Ed Wasmuth).

all_saintsAll Saints Celebration

All Saints Day All Saints Weekend is a time for celebrating our rootedness in resurrection life in loving memory of loved ones who have died. In worship, you will receive a printed keepsake of all the names that have been shared. The deadline for having names included on this printed keepsake is Sunday, October 27th. Fill out the blue Connection Card at weekend worship or click here to submit names.

During our prayers of intercession on All Saints Sunday (November 3rd), we will lift up names of Christ the King members who have died since last year's celebration.
