and justice for...how many?
Greetings!

What if when we recited the Pledge of Allegiance we said "...and justice for every other person"?

Because that's pretty much what's happening. And that's why I'm asking for your help.
Every day we have to tell families and individuals to "go away and come back when we have the resources." That's one out of every two people who don't get help, and many of them face serious legal problems.

We have just $8,750 left to raise before June 30th to meet our end of the fiscal year goal -- which is why I'm turning to you for help.

If you've already done your part, thank you very much! If you haven't yet contributed, please donate now.

What if you were a mom or dad whose minimum wage job had just been eliminated along with your health insurance. You have no savings to carry you through until you find your next job.

Or you were a man or woman fighting our wars who came home emotionally and physically damaged- only to find that you had to wait a year or more to get benefits - and risked becoming homeless while you waited.

What if you were old or frail, or had a mental or physical disability, and no income, no decent place to live, no savings and no health benefits.

What happens then? These are our clients...or not...depending on whether we have the resources. Every dollar you donate means another family or individual can get their legal problem addressed.

With your help, we won't have to turn away as many people. Maybe someday we won't have to turn anyone away, and we will truly be able to say with conviction
"...and justice for all."
Sincerely,
Betsy

P.S.  Countless families and individuals are counting on you. I'm counting on you. Please be as generous as you can. Our fiscal year ends June 30th.
