Questions for
Reflection

This passage is all about the actions and attitudes of the first believers.  What stands out to you about what they did and experienced together?

How is our church fellowship similar?  Dissimilar?  In what areas might we be called to grow?

The Resurrection Effect :: Compassion
Debbie Whaley, preaching

This week we wrap up our series on the effect of the resurrection on us as Christians. We have explored numerous characteristics of this community of faith including mission, dependence, power, diversity, inclusion, courage, and Spirit-led community. This week, we will look at how compassion is yet another mark of a vibrant Christian community.

Please join us at one of our three services:  7:50 a.m. Taize, 10 a.m. Traditional, or 5 p.m. Contemporary.

Blessings,
Debbie

P.S. Plan to stay after the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday to hear our children's choirs sing!

Theme for the Day

"The person who loves their dream of community will destroy community, but the person who loves those around them will create community."

Scripture Passage

Acts 2:43-47First-Scripture

Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
