FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Andrew "Andy" Bark Critically Injured
AGC member and former RSO Andy Bark suffered an extreme traumatic injury in a workplace accident.
MARRIOTTSVILLE, MD, NOVEMBER 21, 2015

Regrettably, we must share some tragic news about former Range Safety Officer Andy Bark, one of our AGC family members.

On Wednesday, November 18th, while Andy was at work, a 3,000 pound beam fell on him, breaking his arm and crushing his legs. He was rushed to Shock Trauma at the University of Maryland Hospital. Despite the doctors' greatest efforts, they were unable to save his legs, which were amputated just above the knees. We are praying that the amputations do not have to go higher so Andy will be able to use prosthetics.

Andy left the AGC several months ago, after completing his education and certification in machining. Andy is well known as an energetic, happy guy. Andy was employed with us for a number of years and his family is still very active within the AGC. His sister, Elizabeth, was featured on the cover of the CMP's magazine and his father Ed, coaches with Stemmer's Run's Junior Team.

As you can imagine, it's going to be a tough road ahead for Andy and his family. We wish him all the best as he recovers. Please keep Andy, his girlfriend, Sandi, and Andy's family in your thoughts and prayers.
