Welcome...

... to our April 2016 Newsletter.

There are many puzzles that involve steering ball bearings though a maze. However we have never come across such an elegant version of this type of puzzle as Sphaera, from the Swiss company NAEF. Crafted from cherrywood, with channels that narrow slightly at the top, so the ball bearings cannot fall out even though the puzzle has no lid, Sphaera is a pleasure to hold in your hand even before you try to solve it! We also have Invisible Playing Cards, well, nearly invisible. They are made from transparent PVC, with a minimalist design on one side. Since they are waterproof, they are also useful at the beach or in any damp of humid environment. Now where did I put them? Finally we have a new cast puzzle from the Japanese company Hanayama - this one is called Padlock, and is level 5, so - pretty difficult!

In the Toy Museum, we have Tim's tribute to Shakespeare, in this, the 400th anniversary of his death. And we also have a video showing some of the items that Tim picked up on his recent trip to the Gathering 4 Gardner in Atlanta.

Finally, in the From the Web section, we have some seriously impressive tricks with spinning tops!
