June 10 Starting a New Nonprofit? The 501(c)(3) Reality Checklist (In partnership with OneOC)
Do you have a passion for a cause that you believe would best be served as a public charity? Do you have a concise mission statement? Have you created a business plan that will help you fulfill your mission? Have you assembled a board of directors? Do you know what legal steps you need to take to incorporate?
This workshop will address these issues and show you the essential information you need to apply for nonprofit incorporation and tax-exempt status. Forming a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in California is not as easy as you may think-attend this class and come away with an understanding of the steps involved and where the resources are to help you make informed decisions.
