August in Downtown San Antonio
This August we host several special events in downtown San Antonio! From the Back to School Weekend Party at Market Square to honoring members of our military at An Evening In Travis Park, August is filled with FREE events for the whole family!

Eat salsa, dance salsa and enjoy great local music at Market Square's 4th Annual Salsa, Salsa Street Fest on August 6 and 7! Kick off the school year with Market Square's Back to School Weekend Party on August 13 and 14! This FREE weekend celebration includes food, music, and a back to school supplies drive! Pamper yourself in Travis Park Fridays in August with Beauty and the Bus! Enjoy lunch from food trucks, music, and schedule your appointment with Beauty and the Bus for an express manicure, pedicure or other salon options. To make an appointment, call (210) 744-7698.

Join Brandr Combat Academy on August 9 (every second Tuesday of the month) in Travis Park to learn historical European martial arts. A $10 fee covers the entire training day and all equipment necessary to appropriately learn. Attendees should wear flexible exercise clothing.

An Evening in Travis Park salutes the military on August 30. Enjoy patriotic music and a boot camp workout. Onsite food trucks will offer service appreciation discounts with Military ID. La Villita, in partnership with San Antonio-based yoga movement Mobile Om, invites you to a series of outdoor yoga classes every last Saturday of the month (August 27) at La Villita's Maverick Plaza! Come join Tejano and Proud KXTN 107.5 every Thursday in August from 5 to 11 p.m. at La Villita's Maverick Plaza! For more information, click here.
