It's Fiesta time in San Antonio!

April in Downtown San Antonio

April means Fiesta time in San Antonio! There are plenty of activities to choose from Downtown in April!

Enjoy a healthier, "greener" Fiesta experience this year. Recycling options, healthy food choices, smoke-free events and a variety of environmentally friendly transportation options are available during the celebrations. New this year: take advantage of refillable water bottle stations along the Battle of Flowers Parade route!

The City's Downtown Tuesday program will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday, April 19th for a Fiesta "siesta." Event parking rates will apply at all City-operated lots and garages. Regular meter rates will also be in effect. Special event and parade attendees are advised that street closures may impact the availability of metered parking in some areas. The Downtown Tuesday program will continue on Tuesday, April 26th . Downtown Tuesday offers locals and visitors great incentives, such as free parking and discounts, when they visit downtown restaurants, bars, museums and other attractions. For more information, check out the new Downtown Tuesday website and follow Downtown Tuesday on Facebook.

Stop by Market Square this month and enjoy Fiesta-themed events for the whole family! April events include Viva Market Square on April 9th and 10th, the Fiesta de los Reyes celebration from April 15th to 24th and a Cinco de Mayo celebration on April 30th and May 1st.

La Villita hosts the Maverick Music Festival on April 8th and 9th, and the A Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) Fiesta celebration from April 19th to 22nd. Mercados de O'liva farmers market returns to Mission Marquee Plaza on April 16th with a special fruit tree giveaway from San Antonio Parks & Recreation. For a full schedule of markets, click here.

Enjoy fun events at Travis Park, including Dinner in Travis Park on April 8th, Eat & Play on April 19th, An Evening in Travis Park on April 26th and the S.A.Y. Om Fiesta Detox-Retox Yoga Festival on April 30th. For more information visit Travis Park's website.
