November in Downtown San Antonio
Take a moment to look around and see what's new, in and around Downtown. There are plenty of activities to choose from in November!
Executive Chef Chuck Hernandez of O'liva will be featured on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the open air market at Historic Spanish Governor's Palace and Plaza de Armas. The market showcases an array of fresh produce and is held every 1st Saturday of the month.
Did somebody say free movies? District 4 Councilman Rey Saldana and District 6 Councilman Ray Lopez are hosting Movies by Moonlight in Travis Park in November. Councilman Saldana kicks it off on Saturday, November 7th with Jurassic Park and free ticket giveaways from the DoSeum, Magik Theatre and Rampage. On Saturday, November 14th -Everything is Awesome with Councilman Lopez and the Lego Movie. Free parking is available at the St. Mary's Parking Garage for both events.
S.A.Y. Om and experience the first Outdoor Yoga Festival of its kind in San Antonio! A full day of events are scheduled in Travis Park on November 14th from 10 am to 2 pm. Learn a new form of yoga every half hour or just chill out, connect and caffeinate. Grab a cup of joe from Rosella Coffee, take a seat in the lounge and connect with fellow yogis. Enjoy an eclectic selection of local health & wellness vendors and bring the kiddos along to play in the Kids Yoga Zone.
Twilight in the Park is back on November 17th! Hosted by the City of San Antonio in partnership with the San Antonio Parks Foundation and Centro San Antonio, Twilight in the Park is a magical dinner under the stars that raises funds to further activities and developments of Travis Park. Marisol Deluna brings her fabulous fashion to San Antonio with the premier of her Foundation and clothing boutique located in Historic La Villita. Celebrate her grand opening on Wednesday, November 18th with remarks from Mayor Ivy Taylor. An open house and a host of kid friendly activities will take place prior to and following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
