May will be a fantastic month in downtown San Antonio!

Very exciting news! City leaders have announced a deal with Frost and Weston Urban that will result in the first new office tower downtown since 1989. The new tower would house Frost Bank's headquarters. This deal would result in a consolidated office tower for City operations, 265 new housing units downtown, and forever alter the San Antonio skyline. The proposal goes to the City Council for a vote June 4.

OPEN Downtown Pop-Up Shops kick off May 15 to 28 in St. Paul Square! OPEN is an initiative of CCDO in partnership with property owners and retailers to provide local entrepreneurs a no-cost, short-term lease in vacant downtown properties. There will be mixers, tours, food trucks and live music every day. Don't miss it!

May is a beautiful month to dine outside on Houston Street! Please consider supporting the San Antonio Food Bank at the first-ever "Houston Street Food" event May 31st. Gourmet picnic baskets from local restaurants will be on sale for $50, which includes drinks and live entertainment.

Last but certainly not least, please join us in celebrating Mom at "Tea in Travis Park" Saturday, May 9th with a sit down lunch and arts and crafts in our beautiful Travis Park.

On behalf of the entire CCDO team, thank you for your support of downtown San Antonio!
