Downtown Grocery Store

Project Update

San Antonio Downtown Skyline

Thank you for your interest in the Downtown Grocery Store Project.   We are in the process of re-designing the weekly Downtown Grocery Store Newsletter. We anticipate sending out the new and improved bi-weekly newsletter the week of August 11th. Construction information for this week includes:

-Work on traffic signal improvement s at the intersections of Arsenal & S. Flores; Chavez & Dwyer; S. Flores & Chavez; and Whitely & S. Flores.

-AT&T continues work on relocating infrastructure on Arsenal between S. Flores & Washington. There will be minimal lane closures on W. Sheridan, S. Main Ave, City St, and E. Arsenal.  Work will be completed Monday - Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. The contractor is finishing up the initial phase of work that places the new cable. Once this phase is complete, it should take another 2-3 weeks to splice. The next phase of work is to remove the old cable and will take approximately 2 weeks.  Additional work will include the removal of the old poles. A schedule for this work will be provided as soon as it is finalized.

-S. Alamo from Probandt to Guenther - S. Alamo drainage project has moved to 12 hour (7 am to sundown) operations on S. Alamo between Probandt and Guenther.  This schedule change will last through the end of August.  The project completion date has been revised to October 2014.  Two alternating lanes will be open starting in August.  For more information on the project, see below or click here.
