The Cross-Cultural Center, the LGBT Resource Center, and the Women's Center will be co-presenting "Kumu Hina" for this year's San Diego Asian Film Festival. Tickets are free for students starting Monday November 03 for the Cross-Cultural Center. Please contact the individual Centers to obtain a ticket for yourself (cannot obtain a ticket for a friend). Students must have their student IDs in order to participate; transportation will not be provided. First come, first serve with limited amount of tickets.

Legacy of Exiled NDNZ examines American Indians living in Los Angeles, California. This project focuses on young adults from various tribes who have migrated from their reservations in the course of their own lives or are the offspring of families that relocated from various tribal reservations through the Burea of Indian Affairs' Relocation prodram, during the late 12950s through the 1960s.

Ethnic Studies Global Seminar in Vietnam, Summer 2015 Information Session

Professor Yến L�  Espiritu (Ethnic Studies) will be teaching a Global Seminar in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City in Summer 2015.

 

The dates will coincide with Summer Session 1 (June 27-August 1). Global Seminars are five-week long summer study abroad experiences led by a UCSD professor. Students enroll in a package of two courses for a total of eight UCSD quarter units.

 

The Seminar will focus on the Vietnam War from both American and Vietnamese perspectives, and will pay particular attention to the importance of race, gender, sexuality, and colonialism in warmaking. The Latino Film Festival is seeking entries in the form of films and videos for their 22nd Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival (March 12-22).
