Rigoberto (aka as Rigo) Marquez graduates from UCSD in 2005 with a double major in Sociology and Critical Gender Studies. He was an active member in the Queer People of Color (QPOC) and a part of the Student Affirmative Action Committee (SAAC) Board. He was very passionate in addressing issues of educational inequality and participated as a board member of the Student Initiated Outreach and Recruitment Commission (SIORC) which later was incorporated into today's Student Promoted Access Center for Education and Service (SPACES) and renamed as the Student Initiated Access Program and Services (SIAPS). Chancellor's Office - Diversity Internship

This internship will be a unique opportunity for a staff member to get direct experience in event planning for Chancellor's Office Diversity events such as: Black History Month, Cesar E. Chavez Celebration, CA Native Day Celebration, Asian Pacific Islander Month, and Disability Awareness Month.
